Unread filters and reading layouts

Filter by subscription or unread entries. Choose preview, compact or expanded display, and mark individual entries or a whole subscription as read. Display and unread-filter preferences follow your account between browsers.

Background checks and source errors

Reader checks subscriptions in the background. If a source fails, its stored entries remain and you can retry that source. Removing a subscription removes its entries from Reader.

Save one post beyond the feed

Save a Reader entry directly to Bookmarks in the selected Personal or team context. Existing saved entries link to their bookmark, where you can add tags, collections, notes and highlights.

Are subscriptions shared with my team?

No. Reader subscriptions and reading state belong to your account.

How many sources can I follow?

Free allows 10 subscriptions; Pro allows 100.

What if an entry contains a publisher-hosted image?

Remote images stay blocked until you choose to load them from the publisher. Reader sanitizes feed HTML and may omit unsupported embedded content; open the original when you need its interactive page.
